One of my favorite local spots is Agua Dulce Winery located just 30 minutes northeast of Valencia in the adorable town of Agua Dulce. Arriving at Agua Dulce Winery you feel as if you were just transported to a small town in wine country! Reaching the winery, you are greeted by the 90 acres of grounds which are beautifully maintained and covered in fresh grape vines. Agua Dulce Winery is family owned and operated which is made apparent by the family atmosphere and wonderful staff you meet at you enter the large tasting room.
The tasting room is a beautiful modern barn homing the gourmet gift shop and wide array of wines to taste or purchase. Wine tasting is so fun at Agua Dulce Winery! The staff takes you on a journey as they go into detail about each wine and assist you in finding food pairings that enhance the flavor. I love the wine so much that I went ahead and joined their wine club. The wine club offers both a Gold Club bottles Membership, which is 50% discount on our award-winning wines, or a Silver Club Membership, which is a 30% discount on our award-winning wines! Both levels of membership grant members a 10 percent discount on the merchandise in the gourmet gift shop.
You also will be invited to exclusive Cellar and Winery functions. The winery is really one of my favorite places to go on weekends with friends. Some of my favorite wines at the winery are the Kitchen Sink which is a red blend and I’m not usually a fan of Rose, but their Sweetwater Rose is delicious! Although the winery does have snacks for purchase, I love packing and bringing a picnic for everyone! You can hang out in the tasting room and shop but the grounds at Agua Dulce are really fun to explore.
With 90 acres, you can walk among the vines, park your party at one of the many picnic tables and let your kids visit the farm animals on site! The winery is really a family environment which I love! My friends with kids will bring them to the winery and pack them a lunch and let them play as we enjoy some delicious wine in the sunshine!
The winery holds events all year long such as grape stomping and a murder mystery which is held in the beautiful home on the grounds which is a 4 bedroom, 4 bath, 5,000 square foot house. The winery can also be rented out for your special events! The winery is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 11:30 to 5:30pm!
