Tucked away in the Sunset Pointe shopping center on the Old Road in Stevenson Ranch is the most charming boutique aptly named “In Good Company”. I stumbled upon the store when I arrived early for an appointment next door and I’m so glad I did!
As I entered the store, I was greeted by owner Tracy and her assistant Laura. Tracy and Laura get to know everyone on a first name basis and are both very helpful without being at all pushy. The boutique is brightly lit and beautifully decorated, displaying carefully curated items which include beautiful home décor, apparel, accessories, toys, novelty items, and personalized items to fit every style and budget.
As I wandered around the store, the three of us chatted and I instantly felt like we were old friends catching up. Tracy told me she does “capsule wardrobing” for clients where she will hand select interchangeable classic clothing pieces that complement each other and can be enhanced with accessories – kind of like Garanimals but for fashionable grown ups. You can also create a wish list for the gift givers in your life so you’ll always love what you get and won’t be stuck with yet another kitchen gadget that never gets used.
Tracy is very community oriented and is extremely supportive of other mom and pop stores and restaurants in the area. Tracy’s big passion, however, is reading and she kindly offers a 20% discount on items in the kids section to any child who tells her about or draws a picture about a book they’ve recently read. The merchandise is constantly changing and there are often great sales. With Laura’s help I left with a darling hat for my daughter, a blouse for me and a gift for my boyfriend. If you’re looking for a special gift for someone in your life (or for yourself…come on, you deserve it!) stop by In Good Company. You’ll be so happy you did.
